  • 1.  Measurement of Individual Psychological Safety

    Posted 07-26-2016 07:24
    Dear all,

I am looking for a scale with which the measurement of psychological
safety at the individual level is possible.
I am aware of the Edmonson scale, but looking for a measure that is
explicitly measuring the psychological safety of a person and not of a
    team or an organization.

Thank you for help in advance. All the best,

    Martin

    Hi Martin,

Nifadkar, Tsui, & Ashforth (2012) used the following three items:

It is safe for me to make suggestions.
It is safe to give my opinions.
It is safe for me to speak up.

Depending on your needs, there are also safety conscientiousness and safety-related event measures in Barling, Louglin, & Kelloway's (2002) JAP.

    Good luck!

    Jeremy
