    Dear Colleagues,

What SEM package do you recommend? I have been using AMOS but I get the impression that this method is not used very often. I have had trouble finding recent papers in good journals that use this package. Do you agree?

Can you recommend a SEM package for which there is a lot of on-line support?

    Thank you,

    Hi Jacqueline,

Depending on your needs, the R package lavaan may suffice. It can accommodate many different types of models and has a number of different estimation methods.

    Hi Jacqueline,

Check into the option of using Mplus. There is good online support, several example syntax, and good books and articles on how to do SEM using Mplus.

    Good luck!
