    Dear colleagues,

Sorry for the cross-postings. You are cordially invited to participate our PDW session.

Sharpen your skills: Preparing to teach graduate level research methods

    Teaching Research Methods

Friday, Aug 7 2015 1:15PM - 3:15PM at The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver in Galiano Island

Presenters: Paul Bliese (U of South Carolina); Jeffrey R. Edwards (U of North Carolina); Robert P. Gephart (U. of Alberta); Michael Sturman (Cornell U). Discussant: Jagdip Singh (Case Western Reserve U). Organizers: Hongguo Wei & Lili Bao (Case Western Reserve U).

The objective of the PDW is to focus on effective teaching of advanced research methods. Most past sessions have focused on types and content of advanced research methods. Few, if any have highlighted the structure and style of effective pedagogy for advanced research methodologies. The last such PDW was more than a decade ago (Harrison, 1997). Much has changed since then. In order to help young scholars better prepare themselves for high quality graduate level teaching, scholars with rich research and teaching experience in a variety of research method approaches will share their own experience, potential resources and teaching pedagogy with the young scholars.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

    Best regards,
    Hongguo
