SHORT DESCRIPTION SUMMARIZING POSITION FUNCTIONS
Pending University approval, the School of Labor and Employment Relations will have two vacant faculty positions in Human Resource Management or Employment Relations. We are interested in candidates who have teaching and research interests in industrial relations, employment law, employment policy, strategic HR, sociology of work, or other areas where organizations and workplace institutions are a major research interest. These are full-time tenure-track positions that combine research with teaching in the School's master's and PhD programs in human resources and employment relations. The School is an academic unit that concentrates on research and teaching in the HR-ER fields. For more information, please see our website at http://www.ler.illinois.edu/. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct original, high quality scholarly research for publication in leading academic journals
• Teach in the School's master's and PhD programs
• Participate on School-wide service committees
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in an appropriate social science discipline or professional area of study (e.g., JD); however, ABDs who demonstrate a strong potential for conducting exemplary research and teaching and anticipate Ph.D. completion no later than August 2016 will be considered.

SALARY: Salary will be commensurate with experience and rank
APPOINTMENT STATUS: Regular, 100% time, tenure-track faculty appointment (assistant professor)
