The Department of Management at Michigan State University is seeking to add a new tenure-stream faculty member beginning in August 2016 in the area of Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, or Strategic Management. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in a relevant area of scholarship (e.g., Management, Strategy, Industrial and Organizational Psychology) by August 2016. Preference will be given to applicants who have demonstrated the ability to publish high-quality research in top-tier management and applied psychology journals. Teaching responsibilities consist of undergraduate and graduate courses in the organizational behavior, human resource management, and/or strategic management disciplines. In addition, applicants should be able to demonstrate ability as a classroom instructor through summarized peer and/or student evaluations and/or explicit commentary in letters of recommendation. Salary is competitive.
We are looking for candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our current group of organizational behavior and human resource management faculty (Georgia Chao, Don Conlon, Nick Hays, John Hollenbeck, Russ Johnson, Fred Morgeson, John Schaubroeck, Brent Scott, Linn Van Dyne) and our strategic management faculty (Gerry McNamara, Kent Miller, Jamal Shamsie, Bob Wiseman) through their research, teaching, and service. To be given consideration, applicants must provide a cover letter describing their primary research interests and accomplishments, three letters of recommendation, a recent sample of teaching evaluations, and a curriculum vitae.
