Tenure-track faculty position – University of Haifa, Department of Human Services

The Faculty of Social Welfare & Health Sciences is pleased to invite applicants for an open-rank tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Human Services, at the University of Haifa.  Expected starting date October 2016.

The successful applicant will be expected to teach and supervise students for undergraduate and advanced degrees, initiate research and apply for research grants, and contribute to the field of Human Services. The University of Haifa is a research institution committed to generating high-quality research as well as to educating tomorrow's leaders. The Department of Human Services is an interdisciplinary department aimed at studying human services in its broadest sense, including internal services (e.g., human resources) as well as external services (e.g., marketing), investigating the profit & not-for-profit sectors. The growth and change of the human services sector increases the need both for research in this domain and for the ongoing training of professionals. The University of Haifa is known for its unique heterogeneous and culturally diverse population, located on the beautiful Mount Carmel overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

Requirements:

• Ph.D. in the behavioral and social sciences, and areas of interest relevant to the Department (e.g., labor studies, social policy, consumption society, marketing and consumer behavior, organizational behavior, organizational psychology, human resources management and employees' welfare, management, performance evaluations and leadership in non-profit organizations, nonprofit human services, civil society, technology-based services and related information systems, and other sub-domains related to the service sector),
• Publications in top peer-reviewed journals,
• Teaching experience and ability to teach in Hebrew,
• Experience in supervising M.A. (and possibly Ph.D.) thesis students is preferable,
• Priority for those who have had Post-Doctoral training overseas.
