The Management Department at the University of Central Florida is seeking applications for three anticipated (pending budget approval) growth-related open rank positions. These will be a full-time, tenure track appointments in OB/HR to begin Fall 2016. Candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, or a closely related discipline. Salary, teaching load and research support are commensurate with other major research institutions. We are particularly interested in candidates at the Associate or Full level, but strong candidates at the Assistant level are also encouraged to apply.
We seek candidates demonstrating excellence in scholarship with the expectation that the individuals will publish in the most respected journals in Organizational Behavior and related disciplines. We are not committed to any particular area of research, theory or methodological approach, but are open to applications from any scholar asking interesting and important research questions within the field of Organizational Behavior. In terms of teaching, we seek candidates who have strong teaching skills at various student levels (e.g., undergraduate, MBA, doctoral). Teaching responsibilities for some of the positions will include Human Resource Management courses at the undergraduate and master's levels. Additionally, ability to contribute to the leadership of the department is desirable.
The Management Department at UCF includes the areas of Organizational Behavior, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship. Current faculty members include Maureen Ambrose, James Combs, Craig Crossley, Robert Folger, Cameron Ford, Stephen Goodman, Aaron McKenny, Marshall Schminke, Shannon Taylor, Tang Wang, and Steven Whiting. Our group includes three former associate editors of the Academy of Management Journal, a former associate editor of Journal of Management, a former associate editor of Business Ethics Quarterly, a SIOP Distinguished Scientific Contributions Award recipient, and Fellows of both SIOP and the Academy of Management.
