Editor or Co-Editors
The IRIOP Annual Review Issue
Published in the Journal of Organizational Behavior
Following their retirement from the positions of Co-Editors of The IRIOP Annual Review Issue, published in the Journal of Organizational Behavior, we are seeking (a) replacement(s) for Gerard P. Hodgkinson & J. Kevin Ford, to begin working with manuscripts in January 2016
The IRIOP Annual Review Issue published in the Journal of Organizational Behavior since 2013, provides organizational behavior and industrial/organizational psychology scholars with an outlet for groundbreaking review articles. Published each February, the IRIOP Annual Review Issue welcomes manuscripts that provide critical, state-of-the art overviews of the scholarly literature pertaining to the topic of interest and highlight significant gaps requiring the development of new theory, research methods, and/or empirical work. Such reviews summarize the current state of knowledge pertaining to the focal topic and provide clear directions for future scientific endeavor. The review process begins with proposals, which are evaluated by the editor(s) and if appropriate sent out for peer review. If the proposal is seen as having merit, full manuscripts are requested and they go through the peer-review process.
Recent articles in the IRIOP Annual Review Issue have covered a wide range of topics including abusive supervision, psychological capital, sensemaking, adaptive performance, job stress, moral self, identity conflict, protean careers, personality, aggression, and organizational citizenship behaviors, among others.
The successful candidate(s) for the position of Editor(s) will be recognised internationally for his/her/their achievements in industrial/organizational psychology and organizational behavior and have a good track record of publications and presentations at conferences. They will also have an extensive international network of contacts, so that the profile of the IRIOP Annual Review Issue can continue to be developed. The ideal person/group will possess the following skills and knowledge:
· Broad knowledge of research and practice in this area.
· Sound judgement about the conduct of diverse forms of research.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work to tight deadlines.
