  • 1.  2014 Impact Factor Results came out today

    Dear colleagues

     

    The 2014 Thomson-Reuters Impact lists came out today.  The JCReports website has a new web interface, however, and it's not easy to get to the subject area lists.  I finally worked it out, however – and here they are.

    ...So, is Google Scholar truly a less parochial and more comprehensive source of bibliometric data and overall scholarly impact than JCR?  Harzing makes some solid arguments (see link below), but it would be interesting to hear what people on this listserv think.  If you would like to comment on this, please send me an email (shaunhansen1@weber.edu) with your comment and your name/position.  I will compile all thoughts and send them back out.
