    Description

    The Department of Management and International Business in the Sellinger School of Business at Loyola University Maryland invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Strategic Management beginning fall semester, 2016. This position requires strong teaching abilities at both the advanced undergraduate and graduate levels. Typical course load is three courses per semester after the first two years.

     

    In addition to excellent teaching, candidates are expected to engage in activeprograms of research leading to publication in quality outlets.  Research expectations are realistic and high quality research is strongly supported with professional development programs and funding, a tenure-track research leave program, and competitive summer research support opportunities. Candidates will also be expected to engage in service to the Department, School and University.


    Qualifications  

    Candidates must possess a doctorate degree in Strategic Management or a closely related field, or have a firm expectation of completing their doctoral degree prior to the start of the Fall 2016 semester. The ideal candidates will have a record of effectively teaching course in Strategic Management and related areas at the undergraduate and MBA levels and have practical business experience. 

     

    Department

    The Department of Management and International Business includes 10 full-time tenure/tenure-track faculty and two non-tenure track faculty. The department consists of diverse faculty working in the areas of strategic management, entrepreneurship, organizational behavior, human resources management, and international business. Our faculty are currently engaged in research on topics such as collaborative relationships in strategic alliances, social entrepreneurship, family business, fun and supportive workplace practices, leadership, and sustainability. Furthermore, most of our faculty have applied experience in industry, consulting, NGOs, and government, both domestically an internationally.
