Dear HRDiv and OB Net Members,
If you conduct management research related to services or study organizational phenomena within a service-related context, please consider the Journal of Service Management (JOSM) as an outlet for your scholarship.
Currently in its 26th volume, JOSM follows a multi-disciplinary editorial process, with each discipline represented by an expert panel consisting of reputed scholars. The OB, HRM, and Strategy panel is composed of a mix of experienced and emerging management scholars with expertise in areas including emotional labor, organizational climate, human capital/strategic HRM, virtual services, diversity in service, and cross-cultural management. These panelists, along with our ad-hoc reviewers, are tasked with providing high-quality (double-blind) feedback for the submissions, while simultaneously building a vibrant services management discipline. To this latter point, we encourage review papers and meta-analyses making strong theoretical contributions, as well as rigorous empirical studies preferably utilizing data collected from both employees and customers or clients.
Please note that the review process for papers related to OB, HRM, and Strategy is consistent with best-practices and currently - from submission to first decision - is at eight weeks.
For questions related to the alignment between your current project and our publishing goals, please feel free to contact me (msubramony@niu.edu). I look forward to receiving your questions, submissions, and willingness to serve as an ad-hoc reviewer.
Best wishes,
Mahesh
