Admitting large numbers of international students appears to be a competitive strategy for business schools to survive in recent times. Yet, in the face of globalization pressures and the increasing number of international students, it remains unclear how cross-cultural diversity should be best addressed in management education. Business schools are thus facing myriad challenges in transitioning to educational environments that exhibit multicultural competence, including how to develop and deliver appropriate teaching models, theories and pedagogies corresponding to today's business needs, and how to promote cross-cultural voices and the sharing of cross- cultural experiences from all students in the management classroom, whether these classrooms occur in person or virtually. This symposium will bring together a diverse array of leading management scholars and educators to discuss the opportunities and challenges of management education in the globalization era.
