We are hoping to organize a panel or presenter symposium for the 2015 AOM meeting in Vancouver. The primary topic for the symposium will be Big Data and its potential to inform theory testing and development. Currently, we have two papers: one provides an overview of how sources of Big Data have been used in a variety of research domains (e.g., consumer behavior, psychology, marketing, operations), and the other represents a test using Big Data where large scale assessments of consumer experience inform innovation and product development.

Please contact us if you are interested and would consider joining our effort. Ideally, we'd get two or three more studies that rely on Big Data, or can integrate conceptual arguments for or against the approach.

    Thank you for your consideration.
