    I am looking for some articles / research / case studies / data on Performance Management Systems for lawyers in a professional law firm. Any inputs would be welcome.

    Dear Ranjeet,

    I recommend the work of David Maister http://davidmaister.com – all of his books should be useful to you and a lot of his stuff is available online as well, including huge slide sets.
    Some books I recommend: First Among Equals, True Professionalism, The Trusted Advisor, and Managing the Professional Service Firm.

    Dear Ranjeet, Paul Buller and Caryn Beck-Dudley wrote a couple of articles back in 1990 on HR in Law firms. Paul is at Gonzaga or you might look on Googlescholar for references.

    Case studies involving law firms are included in the following book (e.g., Chapter 2, Chapter 10):

     

    ·       Aguinis, H. 2013. Performance management, 3rd edition. Upper Saddle Rock, NJ: Pearson Prentice Hall.
