    Dear AOM colleagues,

We are seeking your interest in taking part in a symposium we would like to organize at the next AOM conference in Vancouver (August 7-11, 2015) on the theme of using qualitative research/design/approaches in OB/HR research. Each presentation would

    (1) focus on innovative techniques in qualitative method or classic qualitative strategies or approaches that have been previously misused or insufficiently used,

    (2) briefly present it in a non-technical way, and preferably, demonstrate the implication with a proper example(or examples)

    (3) show how it helps (or would help) to improve the quality of qualitative research in the area of OB and HR

    (4) describe challenges inherent to the use of the technique and, ideally, how to overcome them.

The symposium's aim is not limited at presenting research results. Rather, its objective is to expand attendant's knowledge and interests in "new" and exciting qualitative approach of addressing current management issues. Ideally, attendants would leave the symposium with the aim of trying out one of the techniques.

Our contribution to the symposium would be a presentation on assessment and reporting of theoretical saturation in qualitative studies. If you feel interested in joining us in such a symposium, please send a 100-word or so description of what you would like to present to francois.chiocchio@telfer.uottawa.ca.  Given that the deadline to submit a symposium proposal is January 13, 2015 (see http://aom.org/annualmeeting/), a response by December 15, 2014 would be appreciated so that sufficient time is left to put the proposal together.

Should you have any questions, ideas or suggestions do not hesitate to contact us.

    Sincerely,
