POSITION TITLE | The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for two tenure-track positions in Human Resource Management, Negotiation, Leadership, and/or Organizational Behavior at the Assistant/Associate Professor level beginning fall 2015. |
PROFILE of the UNIVERSITY | UNLV is a comprehensive research university of approximately 28,000 students and 2,900 faculty and staff dedicated to teaching, research, and service. The university has internationally recognized programs in hotel administration and creative writing; professional degrees in law, architecture, and dental medicine; and leading programs in fine arts, sciences, and education. The Lee Business School is fully accredited by the AACSB and consists of five departments and three centers. The School has approximately 75 faculty and 3,600 students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs. Several collaborative programs with other colleges of the university exist and more are under development. The Management, Entrepreneurship and Technology Department was recently formed by the merger of the Management and Management Information Systems Departments and consists of 20 full-time faculty. Faculty members in the department have published in numerous top-tier journals, including the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Management, Human Resource Management, Journal of Vocational Behavior, Management Science, Decision Sciences, and Management Information Systems Quarterly. Many of the department's faculty have received awards for their teaching from the University and the School. |
ROLE of the POSITIONS | Job duties for the positions include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Human Resource Management, Negotiation, Leadership, and/or Organizational Behavior; research leading to publications in top-tier journals; and service as appropriate for the particular rank. |
QUALIFICATIONS | These positions require a Ph.D. from an AACSB accredited business school, a strong publication record or promise thereof, and documented teaching ability. Preference will be given to candidates who have records of excellence in research and teaching, as well as industry experience. |
SALARY RANGE | Salary competitive with those at similar institutions. |
