OPEN-RANK TENURE TRACK POSITION IN ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR
POSITION TITLE: Open Rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full) Professor of Organizational Behavior
EFFECTIVE DATE: Fall Semester 2015
SALARY: Competitive salary commensurate with education and experience.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have an earned doctorate in management or a closely related discipline, with a preference for applicants who have received their degree from an AACSB accredited institution.
EXPERIENCE: Candidates should have demonstrated skills in verbal and written communication, and competency to interact in a collegial fashion with undergraduate and graduate students, colleagues, and staff. Candidates should have a solid record of scholarly research publication commensurate with their levels of academic experience and rank. Applicants should also have a demonstrated record of success in classroom teaching, with instruction at both the undergraduate and graduate levels preferred. Prior experience and success in seeking external research funding and motivation to work in multidisciplinary teams are desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful applicant will have responsibilities in the areas of teaching, research and service to the department, university and community. The position requires continued scholarly activity, including research publications in academic journals in the field of management. The faculty member will actively participate in graduate education by chairing graduate committees, serving on graduate committees, and supervising dissertation research. Courses to be taught will be in the area of organizational behavior, but may vary based on the experience of the candidate and the needs of the Management Department, and may include some online instruction. The ability to teach courses in the areas of leadership and teams is highly desirable.
