The George L. Graziadio School of Business and Management of Pepperdine University seeks a tenure-track faculty member in Applied Behavioral Science effective August 1, 2015, pending position approval. The School offers several master’s degree programs and one bachelor’s degree program1 in Southern California - the main campus in Malibu, and at campuses in Encino, Orange County, West Los Angeles and Westlake Village. Average class size is under twenty-five students. Opportunities to teach in more than one program and location promote interacting with students from diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds and years of experience in business.
We seek a candidate who is skilled in experiential learning, team-building, and effective facilitation, with a commitment to enhancing personal and professional growth for themselves and others. We seek faculty who enjoy collaboration within and across disciplines and place a high value on collegial relationships.
A successful candidate will have a terminal degree in Organizational Behavior or related field such as Human Resources, and will have demonstrated scholarly capabilities, strong teaching ability, and significant business or managerial experience. The candidate is expected to demonstrate competency in fulfilling their professorial responsibilities within a culturally diverse environment, among faculty, staff, and students. Positions are ranked from assistant professor to associate professor; rank, salary and benefits are commensurate with experience. Pepperdine will have representatives at the 2014 Academy of Management Annual meeting in Philadelphia, PA.
