Are you new to teaching organizational behavior? Are you teaching at a new level (undergrad, MBA)? Just want to improve your OB teaching skills? The OB Teaching Incubator PDW may be for you.
This forum is designed for members who are new to the Organizational Behavior (OB) division, new to teaching OB, or have recently changed teaching assignments and want to make connections with others interested in discussing the teaching of OB topics. We have organized the forum as a complement to the OB New Member Networking and Research Forum by creating an opportunity to engage in focused discussion and develop connections with peers to facilitate membersʼ success in OB-related teaching assignments. The session will be organized around teaching themes identified as valuable by previous PDW participants: developing outstanding lectures, case method teaching, experiential learning, and integrating research and teaching. After a short initial presentation, participants will meet and engage in discussions with faculty who have been recognized for their outstanding teaching, as well as with other new members who share similar teaching interests. Each teaching theme discussion will be moderated by an outstanding teacher, and participants in the forum can choose which teaching theme discussions to participate in. Our goal is to help members to make meaningful connections that will aid their success in OB-related teaching assignments.
