    Position Announcement: Asst Prof of Management (OBHR, tenure-track), Kogod School of Business, American University, Washington DC

     

    The Department of Management at the Kogod School of Business, American University, invites applications and nominations for an appointment to an assistant professor tenure-track faculty position beginning fall semester 2015.

     

    Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Candidates who wish to be considered for the Academy of Management screening should submit all materials by July 25, 2014.     Qualifications include:
     - Ph.D. in an appropriate Management-related area (organizational behavior, organizational psychology, human resource mgmt) or anticipated Ph.D. completion by August 2015.
     - Strong commitment to high-quality research
     - Academic and business background that would allow the individual to develop teaching and research expertise in organizational behavior and/or human resource mgmt.
     - Primary research and teaching interest in organizational behavior, teams, and/or human capital.
     - Potential for effective teaching at all levels.
     - Demonstrated collegiality and good citizenship

    Responsibilities include:
     - High quality undergraduate and graduate teaching
     - Research targeted at top-tier and high quality journals
     - Participation in department, school, and university activities
