The Department of Management and International Business in the College of Business at the University of Southern Mississippi invites applicants for a full-time tenure-track faculty position to begin in August 2016.
Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will demonstrate ability and willingness to conduct research to be published in high-quality management and business journals, teach undergraduate and graduate (MBA) courses in management, and serve the department, college, university, and profession through committee assignments and other appropriate avenues.
Qualifications and Experience: Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Management or a closely related field with research interests in organizational behavior or strategic management. ABD candidates will be considered if the degree will be completed prior to the starting date for the position. Candidates must have teaching experience and be able to support our teaching needs in our undergraduate and MBA programs in one or more of the following areas: management, organizational behavior, human resource management, operations management, or strategic management. Demonstrated ability to publish in high-quality peer-reviewed academic journals and an active research agenda is required. Candidates must be eligible for employment in the United States and indicate their citizenship or visa status.
Location: The position is based at the Gulf Park teaching site associated with USM's Gulf Coast campus in Long Beach, Mississippi. Note: Faculty may also be called upon to teach at the Hattiesburg campus or to teach partially and/or fully online courses.
