    Dear Victor and others,

     

    As we all know, EP has it critics. Much of the criticism (in my humble opinion) is the result of misunderstanding (potentially on both sides of the EP fence).

     

    Here are a couple of review papers that may be of interest:

     

    1) For a general discussion on "modularity":

     

    Barrett, H. C., & Kurzban, R. (2006). Modularity in cognition: framing the debate. Psychological Review, 113(3), 628.
     
    2) Rob Kurzban has articulated the debate in a number of outlets.
     
    3) Here is a paper from Nigel Nicholson on the debate within OB:
     
    Nicholson, N. (2005). Objections to evolutionary psychology: Reflections, implications and the leadership exemplar. Human Relations, 58(3), 393-409.
     
    4) Buyer beware, but there is also a Wikipedia page on criticism of EP. I haven't gone through it thoroughly, but may add something: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_evolutionary_psychology
     
    As with my previous post, there is more though this should be a good start.
