The Department of Healthcare Management and Organizational Leadership in the School of Business at Quinnipiac University invites applications for a full-time, tenure track position at the rank of assistant or associate professor, depending on qualifications, to start August 2014. Tenure track faculty are expected to excel at teaching, research and service to students and the university community. We will also consider a visitor position for 2014-2015 academic year.
The School of Business is AACSB accredited, and U.S. News & World Report recently ranked Quinnipiac in the top 10 for 2014 Best Online Graduate Business Programs in the United States. Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will support the department in guiding, advising, and mentoring students. Teaching responsibilities will include primarily online graduate courses in our Masters of Organizational Leadership (MSOL) program. Courses may include organizational leadership, change management, ethics & governance, communication, human resource management, project management, and strategy as well as supervising students in a consulting capstone experience. Tenure track faculty will maintain a high level of scholarship that will lead to publications in nationally or internationally recognized journals. Applicants for the rank of Associate Professor must have a proven research record and an outstanding teaching record preferably teaching working professionals.
Qualifications & Special Instructions to Applicants:
A Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership, or related field from an accredited university is required. The position requires demonstrated excellence of teaching effectiveness and strong communication and interpersonal skills. The department has a strong preference for industry experience, teaching working professionals, and experience teaching in an online environment. Must be willing to teach a broad range of courses in the MSOL program.
A willingness to establish residency in the area and participate in the university community is required.
