Grenoble Ecole de Management is a leading French business school. The Chair in "Mindfulness, Well-being at work and Economic peace is a pioneer research group focused on the place of the individual in the organization. The chair is supported by a range of partners including French and foreign academics, prominent intellectuals, business leaders in various industry sectors.
Mission
The mission of the Chair in Mindfulness, Well-Being at Work and Economic Peace is to contribute to the development of knowledge, practices and training focused on the management of occupational stress, on well-being, on the personal development of managers, on an evolution in management methods and on the understanding of a new industrial model centered on the highest human values and on economic peace in order to promote sustainable and shared value creation.
The post-doc project aims at better understanding and modeling of well-being at work and its impact on health, performance and value creation.
Candidates' profile
Candidates must hold a PhD or DBA degree in management or economics centered on the above topics and have at least one first author publication in a management peer-reviewed journal. A strong interest in leadership, stress management and/or well-being at the workplace is requested. Expertise or familiarity with the area of mindfulness would also be welcome.
The candidate will demonstrate a strong scientific qualification and enthusiasm to lead projects and publish on the defined topics. The candidate must be able to publish in English. Her or his French level should be such as to allow working on a daily basis in a French speaking context.
Offer
The position is expected to start within the first trimester of 2014 for a period of one to two years. Gross salary will be, for a full time job, 2307 € on 13 months, including health benefits.
Grenoble is a lively and fast-growing city in the Southeast of France, in the Alps with a large student population. It is well connected to Paris and direct flights to other major European cities through Lyon airport (70km).
