Does anyone have a link to an online diversity awareness self-assessment that I can have my students take?

I want to use as a starting point for a discussion on diversity and inclusion.  The focus is on stereotyping and oppression and not legal compliance.

    Thanks in advance for sharing.

    Hello Vicky,

Implicit Association Test from Harvard can serve your purposes:
    https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/takeatest.html

It assesses the biases people have about race, gender etc, but not always
    be aware of them.

    Best,
    Maria

    Hi Vicki,

The online Implicit Association Test (Harvard) can be found through the link below.

With business students, I typically provide some readings that distinguish between different types of bias and different ways of managing those.

i.e., One size does not fit all when it comes to managing for diversity. Different forms of, for example, racism, require different forms of education. So, folks often find it helpful to learn about the different types.

    All the best with it,

    Hi VIcki,

I prefer to use either The Diversity Game or The Global Diversity Game published by QED Consulting of New York (It is a little pricey, I think). But I used the old version (paper and cards) which were less expensive, and it was great. The games do not assess how much the person knows or doesn't know, but they help students become aware of how much they know or don't know about diversity. It is amazing to see the students reactions as they play the game. You could also assign credit points for this activity.

Also, there is Stinson's Diversity Awareness Profile. It categorizes people into categories including fighter, change agent, perpetrator, etc.

I used it in my dissertation and I've used it in consulting.
