    STEVENS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, Hoboken, NJ

     

    The Wesley J. Howe School of Technology Management at Stevens Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track position, beginning in August 2014, to enhance its research and instructional capabilities in the area of entrepreneurship. Candidates with an earned doctorate in any business discipline or a closely related field are eligible, as long as their research interests align with technology-based entrepreneurship and innovation in a substantive way. Particular attention will be paid to candidates with a demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality research in the areas of technology-based entrepreneurship and innovation and to publish their research findings in the leading academic journals.

     

    Rank is at the assistant or associate professor level, depending on the applicant's qualifications.  Salary and teaching load are competitive. 

     

    The successful candidate will be expected to:

     

            Teach courses in entrepreneurship and in innovation and technology management at both the undergraduate and graduate levels;

            Publish in high-quality journals and work with colleagues within the School and across the Institute to advance instruction and research in entrepreneurship;

            Support the development of a center of excellence in entrepreneurship research and education, and;

            Actively engage the business community, and seek sources of funding, to support entrepreneurship research and education.

     

    The Howe School of Technology Management (http://howe.stevens.edu/) has over 1,200 students in its undergraduate, masters and doctoral programs.  Stevens Institute of Technology is an innovative, entrepreneurial national research university that enrolls 2,700 undergraduate students and 3,200 graduate students in programs exploring the frontiers of engineering, science, and management.  The Stevens campus is located in Hoboken, NJ on the banks of the Hudson River overlooking Manhattan, which is easily accessible via bus, ferry, and subway.
