"Must-Read" Leadership Articles

  • 1.  "Must-Read" Leadership Articles

    Hi everyone,

In preparing for my course, I asked everyone to tell me the leadership
articles that they considered a "must" to include. I received many great
suggestions and thank everyone who replied. Attached is the result of
those recommendations. In the spreadsheet, you will find that the first
sheet reflects the articles (and books) recommended to me. Next to each
article, I have included the current citation count (according the
Google Scholar), the average number of citations per year that the
article has received, and a crude measure of impact that attempts to
take into account the exponential growth in citation counts as an
article "ages" (i.e., citations/[age*2]). In addition, the highlighted
articles are the only ones that were recommended by two (or three) people.

The second sheet is the list of articles (as well as the research areas
that they represent) that I chose for my course. I have also attached my
syllabus for those that are interested.

Thanks again for lending your opinion and expertise.

    Austin
