    Request for Help

    Hi folks,

I'm looking for a leadership activity with precise conditions. I have a 90-minute slot and 16 students who will be working in four groups of four (MBA/Master of Leadership students).

In this session, I want every member of every group to have a period when they take on the leadership role.  The goal is to expose the way that each person leads and for this to be viewed by members of their group (to enable analysis and feedback).

I'd really appreciate any ideas for an activity that might help me accomplish this task.

Please email me directly with any suggestions (j.billsberry@deakin.edu.au) so as not to clog-up the listserv. I will distribute a summary of responses on the listserv in a few weeks.

    Many thanks for your help.

    Jon

You might find a suitable game here:

Looks like a good selection of leadership game scenarios.

I'm not sure how you are going to unpack team player versus leadership, or self-immersion and engagement versus observation in your activities.

For example, I use Metalog games (http://www.metalogtools.co.uk/) to reproduce various levels of leadership (self, team and managerial) that are experiential. During debrief we focus on the perspective from each role, rather than "I think she did this...or that and this indicates she is or has..." Otherwise perhaps you are looking to create an Assessment Centre environment?

Just some initial thoughts and resources to share here,
