~~~ Apologies for cross posting ~~~
Dear friends,
The Methodology and Statistics group at Utrecht University are organizing another fabulous workshop and mini-conference. This time it's a two-day program (Wednesday and Thursday, the 15th and 16th of May) on missing data and special guest include Donald Rubin. And if that was not enough, its FREE!
See some details about the program are below. For further information, please contact Kevin van Kats (k.vankats@uu.nl) in Utrecht.
Course: Advanced Multiple Imputation
Wednesday May 15, 2013, Utrecht
Multiple imputation has now been accepted as a principled way to solve missing data problems. The standard case assumes Missing at Random and independent observations, and software and examples are available to deal with this case. This course outlines techniques and approaches that go beyond the standard case.
Outline
Morning session:
10:00 – 10.30 Stef van Buuren, Introduction to MICE
10.30 – 11.00 Stef van Buuren, Imputation of Multilevel Data
11.15 – 12.00 Shahab Jolani, Random Indicator method for MNAR data
Afternoon:
13.30 – 14.15 Donald B Rubin, Causal analysis
14.30 – 15.15 Donald B Rubin, Advanced topics
Registration (free): Kevin van Kats (k.vankats@uu.nl)
Mini-conference
Recent advances in multiple imputation
with emphasis on dealing with deviations from MAR or exchangeability
Thursday, May 16, 2013, Utrecht
Multiple imputation is now being adopted by the scientific community as a proper way to deal with incomplete data. Nevertheless, there are still issues in non-standard situations that need to be addressed. For example, how can we deal with problems where we suspect that data are missing not at random (MNAR)? Also, how can handle incomplete data from dependent observations? Various approaches to such issues are possible. The mini-conference aims to bring together experts to discuss recent advances in the field.
