Dear All,
We want to share an exciting opportunity that Southern Management Association is offering to the pre-doctoral students who are seriously considering pursuing a doctorate program. Please find attached the call to participate in this promising pre-doctoral event sponsored by the Southern Management Association at its 2013 Annual meeting in November in New Orleans. The goals of the program include: (1) helping students to gain a better understanding of key factors to consider in applying to doctoral programs, and (2) to provide students with a "realistic preview" of life as a doctoral student and faculty.
The two main events being sponsored are a Pre-doctoral student consortium and a Pre-doctoral paper/poster session.
Students accepted to the consortium will receive a $500 stipend to help with their travel expenses. The deadline for submission to the poster session is April 19, 2013.
Please think about your own students (masters or even undergraduates), and whether any might be suitable for this exciting opportunity. Also, we seek your help in forwarding this call to your colleagues in your department or at other schools who might have students that would be interested and eligible.
