    Ravi,

The following article (available at http://mypage.iu.edu/~haguinis/pubs.html) offers a review of various technologies (including cell phone interface):

Uy, M. A., Foo, M. D., & Aguinis, H. 2010. Using experience sampling methodology to advance entrepreneurship theory and research. Organizational Research Methods, 13: 31-54.

    I hope this helps!

    All the best,

    --Herman.

    Dear Colleagues,

I'm weighing various experience sampling options for an upcoming study and could use some advice. Would love to know what technologies you used along with their positives and negatives. Thanks in advance.

    Ravi,

Could you clarify your statement?  "...what technologies you used along with their positives and negatives."

What parameters are we expecting?  Are you talking automotive, telecommunications, household, business related, are you looking at experiences with new technology as opposed to older technology?  Or, are you asking a broad question about any technology we have used, and how receptive we have been?
