Louisiana State University's Rucks Department of Management invites applications for a tenure-track position in Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management at the Assistant/Associate Professor level, beginning fall 2013. A Ph.D./DBA in Management or a related area is required. The department seeks applicants with a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and research (Associate Professor) or potential for excellence in teaching and research (Assistant Professor). Primary duties include: teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in organizational behavior and/or human resource management (normal teaching load is two courses per semester, i.e., four courses per academic year), engage in academic research and publishing, and undertake assignments normally associated with teaching, scholarship, and university service.
Located in Baton Rouge, LSU is the flagship university in the Louisiana State University System. The Rucks Department of Management and the E. J. Ourso College of Business provide collegial and financial support for academic research and teaching. The E. J. Ourso College of Business offers undergraduate, MBA, and Ph.D. programs of study, emphasizes high-quality research and teaching, and maintains strong ties with the local business community. Baton Rouge provides numerous cultural and recreational amenities that enhance the quality of life for area residents. Moreover, Baton Rouge is located approximately 70 miles north of New Orleans, with easy access to the Crescent City's unique flare.
