Dear colleagues,
We would like to invite you to attend the Third International Workshop
on Organizational Justice and Behavioral Ethics to be held on June 27
– 28, 2013 in Toulouse, France. Our goal is to bring together a small
group of researchers interested in the intersection of justice and
ethics in order to further cross-fertilize both fields. The format of
the workshop is highly interactive, with a focus on sharing and
discussing ideas. Therefore, the meeting will be limited to a small
group of scholars, with 12 papers being presented over the two days.
We are particularly happy to announce that Professors Linda Skitka
(University of Illinois at Chicago) and Ann Tenbrunsel (University of
Notre Dame) have agreed to be our Keynote Speakers for the event.
The core theme of the workshop will be context influences on ethics
and justice. Context effects are of course ubiquitous, but identifying
the most important contextual influences is crucial for the successful
development and practical useability of organizational justice and
behavioral ethics research. Many different types of context effects
may be relevant, be it cultural, organizational, strategic, team
contexts etc…
Examples of research topics include
- The influence of social domains on behavior and perceptions
of ethicality, such as negotiation and lying
- Cultural or other differences in norms of behavior
- Challenges in international business
- What is the impact of workgroup composition and group
fairness norms on ethical behavior
- How different situational cues prime moral identities
- The impact of formal versus informal elements of ethical
infrastructure in organizations on justice dynamics
