Non-Tenure Track Faculty Positions in Management

The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) is seeking to fill
multiple non-tenure track management faculty positions beginning
August 2013 with the Department of Managerial Studies in the College
of Business Administration (CBA), subject to final budget approval.
UIC is a major research university located near the heart of Chicago’s
business community, just minutes from the downtown “Loop” and Lake
Michigan. UIC is situated on a 240-acre campus and is the largest
university in Chicago, with over 27,000 highly diverse students. The
CBA is AACSB accredited with 2,200 undergraduate, 700 MBA, and 40
Ph.D. students. The undergraduate business program is ranked #1 in
Chicago (U.S. News & World Report), the entrepreneurship program is in
the top 25 nationally (Princeton Review), and the interdisciplinary
product development curriculum won an AACSB award.

The non-tenure track faculty positions are full-time, with primary
responsibility to teach undergraduate and/or MBA courses each
semester, and secondary duties to provide service to the institution.
The positions will not convert to the tenure track. Rank and title
will depend on qualifications. A strong commitment to teaching and
service excellence is expected, along with the ability to teach a wide
range of management courses. Minimal requirements are an MBA degree or
equivalent, and past experience teaching at a four-year university.
Preference will be given to individuals with a Ph.D. in Business
Administration with a focus on management or an equivalent doctorate
(e.g. industrial/organizational psychology), and undergraduate and
graduate business teaching experience. A record of recent
peer-reviewed publications will be considered a plus. For further
information, contact Professor Cheryl Nakata, Search Committee Chair
and Department Head, Managerial Studies Department (MC 243), 601 S.
    Morgan Street, Chicago, IL 60607-7123 (cnakat1@uic.edu, 312-355-1337),
