I have used Barnga (which works well), but I also really like BaFa BaFa. It takes longer than Barnga, but I think it's a better learning experience.

Hi Jodi,
The simulation game "Barnga" by Thiagarajan has worked great for me. It really makes them appreciates the differences. It is great for communicating the idea of a "cultural shock. Here is a link that provides more information about the same:

Subject: [OB-LIST] exercise for developing a global and open mindset?
Hi everyone,
Any ideas for a thought provoking exercise in developing a global or open-to-diversity mindset for MBAs? I have a range of time so any size exercise would work. I want them to experience some discomfort, some realization of where their biases are, and also an opportunity to find a creative solution to the challenge that requires openness (especially leveraging others' ideas). I know this is vague but I have flexibility to go a lot of different ways with this.
Any ideas?
Many thanks!
Best,
