    Dear All,

Several colleagues of mine are conducting a meta-analysis that examines the effects of psychological distance (e.g., temporal distance, geographical distance, social distance, hypotheticality) on level of construal/abstraction.  Please see below for a complete description -- if you have any unpublished work that might be relevant, they would be very grateful if you would share it with them!  You can contact them directly through their lab email account at agilab.research@gmail.com.

    Best wishes,
    Cheryl

Subject: Meta-analysis on psychological distance and construal level: Request for data

    Dear Colleagues,

We are conducting a meta-analysis that examines the effects of psychological distance on level of construal. We are writing to ask for your help in identifying any unpublished data or manuscripts, in-press papers, or dissertations that might be relevant.

We are specifically interested in studies that include both a manipulation of psychological distance (temporal, spatial, social, or hypothetical) and a measure that assesses perceptual or conceptual abstraction (e.g., the Behavior Identification Form) or a downstream consequence of abstraction (e.g., self-control, susceptibility to social influence, value-behavior correspondence, etc.).

If you have any unpublished work that might be of interest, we would greatly appreciate your writing to us with a brief description and/or sending a copy of the research (e.g., unpublished papers, dissertations, conference posters, or informal summaries).

Please respond to our lab email account at agilab.research@gmail.com. Thank you in advance for any help you might be able to provide!

    Sincerely,

Alison Ledgerwood, Courtney Soderberg, and Shannon Callahan
