Dear Colleagues,
I am seeking potential collaborators for a symposium session on safety culture and climate (final title TBD) for the upcoming 2013 SIOP conference. The submission deadline is 9/12.
The main goal of this SIOP session is to gain a better understanding of how organizations can build and manage a culture of safety to create safe work environments and improve safety outcomes. This session could highlight studies that examine various topics related to safety culture and climate, including
- safety culture/climate in general;
- organizational culture link to specific safety outcomes;
- organizational culture/climate in safety-critical industries (e.g., aviation);
- measurement and management of safety culture and climate;
- group-level safety culture and climate;
- safety leadership and management practices from the culture and climate lens;
... and many other interesting topics!
