  • 1.  International OB Syllabi?

    I have taught OB regularly over the past twenty years, but this fall for the first time will be teaching an international organizational behavior class.  If any of you have done taught something similar recently, I would very much appreciate if you would be willing to share your syllabus, or any particular activities and assignments that worked well.  I'll be happy to compile responses and share with the list.

    You may want to  review  International Dimensions of OB from Nancy j. Adler ( 2002). I am not aware if there is a more recent edition.

    Hi Denise,
    I've been looking for OB texts with an international focus, too, as I'll be teaching OB in Singapore this September. I found an excellent text by Anne Marie Francesco (Hong Kong Babtist University) and Barry Gold (Pace). It covers basic OB topics, plus each chapter has a section called "Convergence and Divergence" in which the authors discuss the applicability or generalizability of our U.S.-centric theories for other cultures and countries. The book includes over 17 cases with an international focus, as well as 15 experiential exercises. The only potential downside is that the last edition was published in 2005. I also recommend Nancy Adler's book.
