The Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College of the City University of New York (CUNY) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Human Resource Management. Rank is at the Assistant or Associate level, and the start date is August 2013. To be considered for an AOM interview in Boston, applicants should submit materials by July 19, 2012. Job Requirements: Candidates should have a PhD in Human Resource Management or a related field, and should be prepared to teach HR foundation courses as well as electives (e.g., selection, compensation, organization development, training & development) in the BBA, MBA, MSILR, and Ph.D. programs. Preference will be given to candidates who have applied HR experience. An interest in sustainability is a plus. Candidates should have a track record of teaching excellence as well as an interest in developing innovative curricula and online/hybrid courses. Candidates for the Associate position should have an excellent record of publishing in top-tier HR/OB journals; junior applicants are expected to show significant potential for scholarship and a coherent research agenda.
The Department of Management has 35 full-time faculty and 45 part-time members. It is comprised of four discipline areas: Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management, Operations Management, Strategic Management, and Entrepreneurship. We offer management concentrations at the bachelor's and master's levels in OB/HRM, OM, Sustainability, and Entrepreneurship, as well as a doctoral program in Management and Organization. Faculty in the HR/OB area include Moshe Banai, Stephan Dilchert, Molly Kern, Richard Kopelman, Hannah Rothstein, Cynthia Thompson, and Donald Vredenburgh.
