    Greetings,

With AOM coming closer into view, we would like to invite you and other interested colleagues to attend our PDW titled, "The Integration Box: A Faith, Religion, and Spirituality at Work Assessment Tool.". This workshop will delineate Miller's (2007) original theoretical framework, The Integration Box (TIB) as posited in his book, God at Work: The History and Promise of the Faith at Work Movement. Miller's research into the faith at work movement makes the claim, among other things, that there are four manifestations, or ways, that people integrate faith and work.

The TIB theory and its newly developed accompanying psychometric scale will allow researchers to capture both the multivariate nature of workplace spirituality and their individual expressions. Specifically, this PDW seeks to summarize Miller's original TIB theory, convey the developmental origins of the TIB theory, delineate the most current rendition of The Integration Box theory, and contextualize the theory by referencing Miller and Ewest's (2010) categories for Workplace Spirituality Scales, and introduce the TIB psychometric scale.

The session will also reveal research findings from two commercial organizations where the TIB scale was tested, as well as a discussion of future research directions, inviting participants to use the TIB in their own research. While theoretically content-rich, the PDW will also provide multiple practical examples of the four manifestations, examples of possible applications to the workplace and how the TIB theory addresses practical managerial considerations proposed by SHRM relating to issues of diversity, human development, and organizational culture (values, trust, empowerment) employee motivation.

The session is scheduled for Friday, August 3, 2012 at 9:00AM - 11:00AM at the Sheraton Boston Hotel in Independence East.

See you there! But if you cannot make it but are interested in learning more, please contact visit the Princeton University Faith & Work Initiative website section that discusses the TIB research and working papers (http://www.princeton.edu/faithandwork/research/tib )  and/or contact Jonathan Lea (jlea@princeton.edu).
