FULL-TIME FACULTY POSITION
Position: Asst, Assoc, or Full Professor in Management (rank dependent on qualifications)
Institution; Walsh College, Troy, Michigan
· Private, independent, non-profit, upper-division, stand-alone business school with over 4,000 undergraduate and graduate students
· Grants degrees at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels (BS, MSIA, MSIS, MAC, MAT, MSF, MM, MBA, MBA/MSF, and DM)
· Accredited by HLC-NCA, IACBE, ACBSP
· Located in Troy, Michigan, a beautiful upscale suburb of Detroit
Reports to: Director, MBA & MM programs
Major
Responsibilities:
· Teach undergraduate through doctoral level courses in management and general business at various campuses and day/times as well as online.
· Serve on dissertation committees.
· Assist in revising curricula and delivery methods to meet the needs of students and employers.
· Maintain appropriate professional association and business relationships.
· Interface with program advisory committee members and community college faculty.
· Demonstrate scholarly contributions to the profession.
· Assist chair in recruiting and managing adjunct faculty members.
· Advise students on course selections and career paths as requested.
· Provide student learning outcomes data as it relates to the program(s).
· Respond to appropriate media requests for interviews, comments or articles.
· Develop and deliver reports to management and the Board of Trustees and other groups, as requested.
· Participate in the College's planning and budgeting, as requested.
Minimum
Requirements:
· Doctorate degree in a related field from a regionally accredited institution required.
· A minimum of five years related work experience, holding at least one position at the managerial level.
· Ability to deliver information and facilitate discussion with experienced adult learners required.
· College teaching and/or corporate training preferred.
· Knowledge of current technology used in management related professions required.
· Superior written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills required.
· Ability to work collegially with multiple constituencies in a dynamic academic environment.
· Willingness and capability to teach online and at various locations and times required.
· Knowledge of entrepreneurship preferred.
