4th Annual OB Research Incubator at AOM Annual Conference
Boston, MA
We invite you to submit a research proposal for the 4th Annual "OB Research Incubator", a Preconference Development Workshop that provides an exciting opportunity for researchers to receive constructive feedback and guidance from some of OBs most productive scholars. This session is open to junior and senior scholars who are conducting research on OB-related topics.
During the session, participants will meet one-on-one or in a small group setting with senior scholars, who will provide direct and specific feedback on participant submitted research proposals. Feedback will be particularly focused on helping you address the challenges you are currently facing in bringing a project to fruition.
Pre-approval of your proposal is required for registration. Proposal submissions should be limited to 5 – 6 double spaced pages (not including references) and include the following four sections:
I. Brief Abstract and four keywords
II. Overview of the research
a. Research topic
b. Conceptual framework
c. Research questions
d. Methods
III. Challenges (these are the areas on which you would like to focus discussion)
IV. References
Please send research proposals to Steve Whiting (whiting@indiana.edu) using the subject line "OB Research Incubator" by Monday, July 2, 2012. Once your proposal is approved, we will send the registration code. At that point, interested participants can pre-register online at https://secure.aomonline.org/PDWReg. To maintain an intimate setting, we will only accept 12-15 submissions for this session on a first-come first-serve basis.
The workshop will take place on Saturday, August 4, 2012, 10:15 – 12:15, at the Boston Park Plaza in the Cambridge Room. Additional details about this session can be found at the AOM PDW website.
We have an outstanding slate of senior scholars who have agreed to participate including: Talya N. Bauer (Portland State), Berrin Erdogan (Portland State), Mark Gavin (Oklahoma State), Mark A. Griffin (Western Australia), Jing Zhou (Rice), Leslie DeChurch (Georgia Tech).
We look forward to seeing you in Boston!
