I am looking for a literature review (post Kramer 1999) on the various methods used to measure different forms of trust within organizations (e.g., trust in leadership, dyadic trust, organizational trust). This can include a multi-dimensional approach or self-referential conceptions of trust (e.g., surveys simply asking the respondent if they "trust" a particular entity). If anyone is aware of a comprehensive review, a step toward building one, or has any general suggestions, please let me know. Thank you!

    Hi Bill,

Have a look at this review article:

McEvily, B. (2011). Measuring trust in organisational research: Review and recommendations. Journal of Trust Research, 1(1), 23-63.

Also, there is a new edited volume coming out that showcases different ways to study/ measure trust:

Lyon F., G. Möllering & M. N. K. Saunders (Eds.), Handbook of Research Methods on Trust. Cheltenham: Edward Elgar.

Finally, a couple of colleagues have set up a series of conference sessions devoted entirely to organizational trust. Have a look at http://www.organisationaltrust.org/.

    Hope this helps,

    Bart.
