  • 1.  Call for papers Work motivation in the public sector - EURAM 2012

    Dear Colleague,


    we are pleased invite you to submit a paper to the 60th track:

    Work motivation in the public sector: Exchanges with the Organisational Behavior field

    of the next EURAM conference that will be in Rotterdam 2012, June, 6-8.

    The track welcomes papers (work in progress or finished research) from scholars with diverse backgrounds eager to contribute to the development of an inter-disciplinary research agenda to investigate work motivation into public organizations in different social, cultural, political and economic contexts.

    Particularly, the track aims to highlight:

     

    1)  how the study of work motivation in the public sector has evolved and what constructs it has been focusing on;

    2)  the latest empirical evidence concerning the outcomes of work motivation in the public sector with respect to the private;

    3)  whether and how employing people driven by PSM may enhance both the scope and the quality of public services' delivering, innovation and, more in general, public organizations' performance;

    4)  the set of institutional, contextual and organizational factors that may influence the development or the inhibition of PSM;

    5)  the way PSM relates to other facets of work motivation, job satisfaction, organizational commitment and other concepts related to the area of organizational behavior;

    6)  differences and similarities of employing people driven by PSM in different countries, contexts (local government, public utilities, state-owned enterprises, etc.) and organizational levels;

     

    All the papers will undergo a double blind review process and accepted papers will be distributed among conference participants.

    Papers submission deadline: 17 January 2012 (2:00 p.m. Brussels time)

    Acceptance notification to authors: March 27, 2012

    Early-bird & Authors' Registration: April 20, 2012 (2:00 pm Brussells time)
    Conference sessions: June 6-8, 2012

  • 2.  Call for papers Work motivation in the public sector - EURAM 2012

    Hi all!  I am the editor of the International Public Management Journal (IPMJ).  We are an SSCI research journal in public management, with an impact factor ranking us number 3 of 37 SSCI journals in public administration/public management.  We are particularly eager to publish papers coming out of an OB tradition as applied to the public sector.  Gary Latham is on our editorial board, and we have published his work.
