    Culture Change in Healthcare Sector

We are seeking potential contributors to a symposium submission concerning various culture changes that are occurring in the healthcare sector for next year's Academy of Management (AOM) conference, which will be held in Boston from August 3-7, 2012.

This symposium aims to explore the diverse types of organizational change that are occurring within healthcare organizations, such as enhanced focus on preventative care through medical home models, introduction of electronic medical files, or reorganization/job redesign. Additionally, we hope to have various methodologies represented within this symposium, such as multilevel and social networking analysis. We seek diverse contributions and hope to engage practitioners and scholars in a lively conversation about the changes occurring in healthcare, how we can best study this changes, and what approaches are most effective at engaging employees while successfully managing patient care.

If you are interested, please contact Ashley Nixon (anixon@willamette.edu) or Polly Rizova (prizova@willamette.edu) with a brief description of your research and findings.

A submission of a 5-page synopsis will be needed by mid December.

Please forward this request to interested colleagues in this area.

    Sincerely,
