TENURE-TRACK FACULTY POSITION IN ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR

The Management and Organization Department in the Smeal College of Business at Penn State has a full-time, tenure-track position open at any rank (assistant/associate/full professor) in Organizational Behavior. Candidates must have a Ph.D. (or be in the final stages of the dissertation), demonstrate interest in and capacity to conduct quality scholarly research, and a high level of teaching competence in Organizational Behavior. Candidates for the associate or full professor position should have an excellent record of research publications, as well as involvement in doctoral education, and undergraduate and graduate curriculum development. Faculty members are expected to pursue an active research program, perform undergraduate and graduate teaching, supervise graduate students, and engage in service activities. We have a strong preference for candidates with publications in premier journals, who have high-impact research programs underway, and who are able to connect with a wide array of colleagues in our department.

The Management and Organization Department comprises a group of active scholars whose work is diverse and often interdisciplinary. Our tenure-track faculty include: Denny Gioia (Chair), Forrest Briscoe, Drew Carton, Lance Ferris, Raghu Garud, Barbara Gray, Don Hambrick, Stephen Humphrey, Glen Kreiner, Vilmos Misangyi, Srikanth Paruchuri, Tim Pollock, Chuck Snow, Jim Thomas (Dean), Linda Treviño, and Wenpin Tsai. The department is consistently ranked among the top 5 most research productive in the world and several of our faculty members have among the highest citation counts of anyone in management. Now and in recent years, our members have served as editors or associate editors at many of the most prestigious journals in the field (e.g. Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, Management Science). Four of our members are also Fellows of the Academy of Management.
The Smeal College of Business continues to enhance its position as a premier business school. We have highly ranked undergraduate and MBA programs, a growing Executive MBA program in the Philadelphia area, and a vibrant doctoral program.
