    Dear Colleagues:

My apologies for cross-postings.  Some current and former students and I are putting together a SIOP symposium submission on the role of affect in cross-cultural competency. Two of the papers examine links between emotion regulation ability and cross-cultural competency. Another examines the effects of emotion regulation training on managing disgust associated with unfamiliar food (from other cultures). We're searching for a fourth paper linking affect and cross-cultural competence. If you are working on something in this area and would be interested in presenting it at the SIOP conference, please let me know.

    Thanks!
