    HR/OB Assistant Professor
    University of Texas at Arlington
    Department of Management

    The Department of Management at the University of Texas at Arlington is
    seeking applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant
    Professor level. The appointment, which is pending approval and funding,
    will be effective fall 2012. Desired areas of interest include Human
    Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, Leadership and other micro-
    oriented areas of management. Applicants must either possess a doctorate
    or must be ABD status and within a year of completion to be considered.
    Commitment to high quality research and teaching is required.

    The department has 19 faculty members in the areas of Human Resources,
    Organizational Behavior, Entrepreneurship, International Business, and
    Strategy. We offer undergraduate majors in Management and Human Resource
    Management and a SHRM recognized MS in Human Resource Management. Faculty
    members in the department serve as editors (including Academy of
    Management Learning and Education, Academy of Management Executive,
    Journal of Occupational Health Psychology, Group and Organization
    Management, and Human Resource Management) and consistently publish in the
    top journals in the field. Members of our faculty currently serve in
    leadership roles in the Academy of Management and include a recognized
    fellow in SIOP and APA. The department is known for teaching
    effectiveness, with numerous college and University teaching awards. We
    have an active PhD program and faculty members regularly collaborate with
    doctoral students in research and publishing.
