    The Robinson College of Business seeks applications and nominations for a tenure track Assistant Professor in the area of Human Resource Management /Organizational Behavior.  The successful candidate will be someone who can contribute to our existing strength in research in Human Resource Management/Organization Behavior and should be focused on micro-HRM/OB issues.  This position offers an exceptional opportunity to qualified candidates due to a combination of unique and attractive resources. The Department of Managerial Sciences is fortunate to have many outstanding faculty colleagues with interests in Human Resource Management and Organization Behavior and is closely affiliated with the Beebe Institute of Personnel and Employment Relations.  In addition, our faculty members have engaged with colleagues in other units of the College, the University, and neighboring universities in the Atlanta area in a variety of professional activities to form an engaged community of scholars. Georgia State University is located in the heart of Atlanta, home to the headquarters of 10 Fortune 500 companies, numerous regional headquarters, and a large number of regional, national and global enterprises.  The successful candidate will begin employment in August, 2012.

     

    Candidates must have an earned doctorate in a relevant field from an AACSB accredited university and demonstrated ability or high potential for both publication in the top journals in management and for teaching HRM/OB.  Collegiality and a demonstrated ability to develop and work with others to define and conduct research are important. The position includes teaching at the graduate and/or undergraduate levels in the College's academic programs.  Salary, teaching loads, and other types of support are competitive with other research universities.  This position is contingent upon final budget approval by the University.

    Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management - Non-Tenure Track/Clinical Faculty

    The Robinson College of Business seeks applications and nominations for one or more non-tenure track positions in the area of Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management.  The successful candidate will begin employment in August, 2012. The position includes teaching at the graduate and/or undergraduate levels in the College's academic programs.  The position is rank open but we expect to hire at the Clinical Assistant Professor level.  Clinical faculty hold academic titles (i.e. Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Clinical Professor) and have opportunities for promotion based upon demonstrated excellence in teaching and being active in scholarship that includes the scholarship of teaching and may include practitioner and/or disciplinary research.
