The AACSB-accredited School of Business Administration at the University of Vermont invites applications for an Assistant Professor position in management, with a disciplinary focus in organizational behavior (OB) and/or human resource management (HRM). This will be a full-time, tenure-track appointment with a preferred start date in August 2016 -the beginning of our fall semester. The successful candidate is expected to have earned a doctorate in OB, HRM, or related discipline (e.g., Industrial and Organizational Psychology) by the start date.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the abilities to publish high quality research in the OB and/or HRM disciplines and effectively teach a core undergraduate course in Leadership and OB. The ideal candidate would also demonstrate the ability to teach other courses grounded in the OB and/or HRM disciplines offered as upper-level undergraduate electives pertaining to one or more of the School's three interdisciplinary theme concentrations (Sustainable Business, Global Business, and Entrepreneurship), and/or graduate courses in the School's recently launched Sustainable Entrepreneurship MBA program.
The School of Business Administration cultivates and supports about 30 tenured or tenure-track faculty dedicated to management education, research and practice. The School offers three academic programs: a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA), a Sustainable Entrepreneurship MBA (SEMBA), and a Master of Accountancy (MAcc).
